Just For Today
Many people spend their time thinking about the past things that didn't go well, or anticipate what will happen in the future. Dr. Mikaomi Usui, the creator of Reiki, taught that focusing on today is all you need, because all of your power is in the present moment.
Take a deep breath and slow down for a moment and just appreciate today. Find the good things to focus on like your health, the sun, a smile from a stranger, your favourite movie on late night tv. It's the simple things that bring joy and happiness. Just for today, each day, remember how lucky you are and all the blessings you have been given. Then repeat it all again tomorrow, because it will be your new today.
